THE AUDITION PROCESS
Thank you for your interest in auditioning for our worship teams. We're looking for musicians and singers who call any campus of Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale their church home, who have a gifting in music, and who have a heart to serve Christ and His Church. If that's you, we're looking forward to getting you involved!
There are two ways to audition—live at one of our campuses, or by submitting a video. The audition songs are below and are the same for both options. You must learn the two songs for your instrument or vocal part. Try your best to imitate the two songs as closely as possible to the recording. When you audition, you will play along with the track that has a click (a.k.a. metronome), so make sure that you practice with that track after you have learned the song!
Live auditions are on the second weekend of each month, at each of our campuses. Click here to find out the day, time, and location for a live audition at your campus. We will provide a drum kit and a keyboard, however, drummers will need to bring their own drum sticks and keyboardists will need to bring any additionally desired gear (laptop, software, etc). Guitarists will need to need to bring their own guitars and pedals—an amp will be available for electric guitarists to use if desired.
If you would prefer to submit an audition video, follow the instructions, and e-mail your audition video to firstname.lastname@example.org.
When you record, use the audition tracks, introduce yourself, and state which campus and instrument you're auditioning for in both videos.
If you are interested in auditioning for Violin, please use the Electric audition materials. Occasionally we have need for Violin, but you must be able to learn the electric guitar lead lines by ear.
